The Maah Daah Hey Trail is a remote wonder – over 150 miles of trail traversing the majesty and mystery of the North Dakota Badlands. With its size, scale and isolation, the trail requires a ton of love and care to make sure it is accessible and enjoyable for future generations.

We are a small, dedicated group of volunteers who genuinely WANT to mow the overgrown vegetation with brush mowers, buzz encroaching grass with weed whackers, trim back branches (the kind that slap you on your arm when you ride by), reclaim slumped sections of trail with hand shovels, and smooth out trenched, rutted, and chopped up miles of trail with our McLeod’s and pulaskis.

This is what it takes to keep the Maah Daah Hey enjoyable each and every year. We hope that you really want us to do all of that too. We know not all of you can make it out to God’s country to swing a shovel next to us, so please consider making a donation to help #SAVEtheMDH. Every single dollar donated goes straight to making the MDH better for YOU and every other trail user.

Donate any amount you are comfortable with. Thank you for supporting our efforts to save this wonderful trail from extinction!
